With the latest release, 2.6.17-beyond2.2, I have begun adding gentoo's genpatches into the set, which should keep beyond more up to date and stable.
There is also now a new, dedicated beyond bug tracker, now available at: http://iphitus.loudas.com/bugs/ This is the preferred method of reporting bugs, in both the beyond patch and the beyond package, as I don't have time to read the forums, and emails easily get lost or forgotten.
So if you have any problems, don't hesitate to report them, as each bug fixed will make beyond better and better.
