[tur-users] Application for becoming a TU

Hello,

I would like to become a Trusted User. mOLOk said that he would sponsor
me, so here is my application:

My name is Alexander Fehr and I'm 26 years old. I'm also known as
pizzapunk. I live in Berlin, Germany an I study computer science and
biology.

My first contact with Linux was Suse in 1998. In 2002 I switched to
Debian and at this time I began using Linux full-time instead of
Windows.
Two years later, in 2004, I read about Arch on DistroWatch Weekly and I
tried it. It had some flaws but all in all it was almost perfect for my
needs and so it replaced Debian for me. Now three years later, I can't
imagine using an other distro than Arch Linux.

At the moment I'm maintaining 34 packages in unsupported and I think
I'm now at a point where I have the knowledge and the time to maintain
packages in community. I would say that the VMware packages are the
most complex ones from the list of my packages.
I read all the Arch mailing lists, I visit the forum and sometimes I
hang out in IRC. Moreover I was two times in the Arch LinuxTag team
(2005,2006).

If I become a TU I will move a part of my packages to community.
Furthermore I could move some other popular packages to community and
adopt 2 or 3 community orphans.
In the future I could maybe do some x86-64 maintaining but for now I'm
using only Arch32 on my AMD64 machine.
