[tur-users] Throwing my hat in to the ring...

Ahoy all...reading the "How many real active TUs are there?" thread
has made me realize that perhaps there's something else I can do to
help out the Arch community. My name is Aaron Schaefer (ElasticDog),
and I've been an Arch user since May of 2005. I am active in the
community in a variety of ways...if you don't know me, I regularly
read/contribute to the forums, am subscribed to the TUR and regular
mailing lists, usually lurk in IRC, have made various design-related
contributions (CD covers, forum buttons before the redesign, etc.),
and manage a few packages in the AUR.

I'm a 24 year old student finishing up my degree in Computer &
Information Technology at Purdue University, and would love to lend a
hand with some of the TU-related duties around here. Admittedly, I'm
no expert on the ins and outs of compiling things from scratch, but
I'm constantly learning and feel that I'm more than capable of making
a positive impact on the TU side of things. My current packages
demonstrate a wide-range of packaging requirements, and there are
quite a few out there that I'd love to adopt and/or move in to
community. Beyond that, I'd be glad to help with flagging other AUR
submissions as well.

I've seen the Arch community grow pretty steadily since I came on the
scene, and have not seen the same growth reflected in the number of
TUs. Overall, I'd just like to give back where I think I can. I do
not currently have a sponsor, but would like to throw my hat in to the
ring regardless. Hopefully somebody out there will see fit to back
me. Either way, much thanks for all your work, and feel free to ask
me any questions...
