I'd think that's probably better than struggling on to maintain pkgs
that nobody cares about. An announce would be a one time thing per
pkg, and if the orphans are in unsupported that's fine. If they're in
community though you'd kind of half expect them to be maintained, at
least more than unsupported anyways.
